A Protem Committee has been formed in late 2003 to work on registering an Association of Parent Support Groups or APSG.  The Protem Committee is a group of active parent volunteers from a number of schools in Singapore.  The group sets the stage on the ideas and aspirations of all active PSG members who feel that more can be done to nurture and develop the parent's role as stakeholders in our future generation's education.

Our Role
The aspirations of this group have been set realistically to concentrate on a number of key areas relating to the needs of PSG's and parents, namely:

• Nurture parent volunteerism in both the school & community
• Provide an environment for learning, sharing and discussion on subjects relating to
  the all-round education of our children
• Act as a central resource pool and portal for PSG's, where they will find solutions and ideas to build stronger home-school relationships
• Offer constructive feedback to policymakers
• Provide an understanding of MOE policies and how they relate to the school and community
• Develop best practice for PSG's
